The argument for the Trash Game

I’m thrilled that it’s now possible to use the words “trash game” together without coming across as a “Gamer”.

Having recently completed Ben Esposito’s quirky 2018 Donut County — a game that’s ostensibly about little more than making garbage fall down a hole so you can control an even bigger hole — I am now a firm believer that collecting trash is a not only a viable game mechanic, but an entire game genre.
